San Jose del Cabo is a quiet city located in the Baja California Sur, in northern Mexico. With a population of around 70,000 inhabitants it forms part of a coastal corridor that attracts many tourists to this inviting region, not least of all because of its incredible weather.
Like almost all of the Baja California Peninsula, San Jose del Cabo has an arid climate, and although it does receive more rainfall than most areas further north due to the very occasional arrival of tropical cyclones, often many years pass by without significant falls at all.
The weather here boasts annual temperatures that range from 64 F to 86 F and an average of 15 rainy days, which makes this a popular vacation spot for sun and summer seekers who enjoy tours that include snorkeling, sailing, diving, fishing and any other outdoor activity.
And there are many more things to do in San Jose del Cabo with a central downtown area that has many fine restaurants, boutiques and shops. The historic center with its recently refurbished town square is also worth a visit. A structured art district has been created near the town square, with quite a few galleries calling this section of town home. It is located just to the east of the church and has become a quite popular addition to the historic center.
Make sure you visit if you are looking to relax in a tranquil, traditional Mexican setting.
