Cozumel Shopping Guide
LET’S GO SHOPPING!
Cozumel shopping is great for visitors. Visit the various stores in this duty-free port where you will find, besides the de rigueur T-shirt, a great variety of silver items, trendy perfumes, name-brand clothes, jewelry, local and regional handicrafts, liqueurs, and much more, often at lower prices than other places in Mexico. Most shops are located on the lively Rafael Melgar Avenue but one or two blocks inland there are still many things to see and better bargains.
It is worthwhile to take a stroll through the handicraft market in front of the main Plaza and if you are looking for fresh produce the Municipal Market offers everything from fresh fish and meat to shoe repair!
Here is a list of the grocery stores that are recommended. Each of them offer something a little different but all are quality stores that carry a wide range of fresh produce.

If you are planning to stay for a while it may be a good idea to buy bulk. Either of these are well-priced and carry quality products. Both require membership cards but “Day Passes” are available at their customer service counter.
Try shopping for bulk items at SAM’S Club.
This was the first mall to be built on Cozumel Island. Located in front of the Punta Langosta pier downtown it carries a variety of restaurants, bars, and stores. This is an obligatory stop for any visitor to the island.
